We're giving you another reason to say "Thank Goodness It's Friday!" Starting July 1, 2011, NC Squares dances will be every first Friday of the month. Yes, that includes summer months too. We'll be having some of the first Friday dances at The Carrboro Century Center and some at the Pleasant Green Community Center. Directions to both locations are now on our website. Another change along with this move is that our dances will become funded by donations and not admissions taken at the door. This makes our dances even more inviting to beginners, new-comers and the general public. Please remember, we are a community dance and we need everyone's support to thrive and survive. When you attend a dance, please be kind to the caller and the band by sharing your generosity. To keep old-time music and dance a part of our community we must be willing to say they have value, and a monetary donation is a great way to do that in a meaningful way. |
